Step-by-step guide
Prepare your spreadsheet
Create a spreadsheet with clear column headings such as product name, barcode, price, description or any other label data.
Open your label template
Open the PLI Connect Designer and select the label template you want to use for spreadsheet printing.
Connect a variable field from the Properties menu
Select the text object on the label, open the Properties menu, enable Use Variable Data and choose the required variable field, such as VAR1, from the dropdown list.
Use variable data fields
Connect label elements to imported data fields so each printed label can display different information automatically.
Import spreadsheet data
Import your Excel or data file so the spreadsheet rows can be used for label printing.
Map columns to label fields
Match each spreadsheet column to the correct label field, such as name, barcode, price or date.
Review the imported data
Preview the label output and check that the mapped data appears correctly before printing.
Print labels in batch
Use batch printing to print multiple labels from your imported spreadsheet or copied data.
Save your template
Save the template with the mapped fields so it can be reused for future spreadsheet printing.
